Our approach
We assess whether hardware can be polished in place or needs to be removed for replating, and protect the surrounding leather throughout.
Every bag starts with a specialist assessment. We treat it according to its material and condition, preserve original materials wherever possible, and aim to improve its appearance and extend its life — we never promise a bag will look brand new.

Questions we're asked
Can handbag hardware be replated?
In many cases, yes. Some hardware needs to be removed from the bag first, which we'll explain in your quote.
Can gold handbag hardware be restored?
Faded or worn gold plating can often be replated. Light tarnish may only need polishing.
Can scratched hardware be repaired?
Light scratches can often be polished out. Deep scratches or dents may be reduced but not fully removed.
Do you replace original hardware?
Our preference is always to restore original hardware rather than replace it.
Can Chanel hardware be replated?
Chanel CC turn-locks and chains are among the hardware we're asked about most. Send photos and we'll assess yours.
